Ten mortgage providers show differences across these measures, including reported costs ranging from 1% to 3% and closing timelines ranging from 14 to 90 days.

The 10 mortgage providers are Rocket Mortgage, Watermark Home Loans, New American Funding, Bison State Bank, NBKC Bank, Farmers Bank of Kansas City, First Federal Bank, PNC Bank, Wells Fargo and West Capital Lending. Each provider is identified by its National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) number, along with information on costs, closing times and customer ratings.

Mortgage Costs Vary Among Lenders

Rocket Mortgage lists a 1% cost figure, while the other nine lenders list 3%. The lenders also report whether their costs are below or similar to the industry average.

Rocket Mortgage, Watermark Home Loans, NBKC Bank, Farmers Bank of Kansas City, First Federal Bank, PNC Bank, Wells Fargo and West Capital Lending list costs below the industry average. New American Funding and Bison State Bank list costs similar to the industry average.

Closing Times Range From 14 to 90 Days
