WASHINGTON, August 27, 2026 Invest America and Everfi will make financial education resources available to every elementary, middle, and high school across Texas beginning in the 2026-27 school year. The statewide initiative will provide students with instruction in financial concepts and give students and families information about savings opportunities and the financial decisions associated with them.

The program will also provide information about 530A Trump Accounts, federally established investment accounts for children ages 0 through 17. Children born in 2025 or later can receive a $1,000 contribution from the U.S. Treasury to open an account. For eligible children born between 2016 and 2024, Michael and Susan Dell have committed $6.25 billion through their charitable funds to provide $250 per activated account for the first 25 million accounts. Families can check their child's eligibility through Invest America's website.

Financial Education Reaches Texas Schools

Everfi’s financial education programs will be used across elementary, middle and high school grade levels. Elementary students will learn about earning, spending and saving, along with the difference between needs and wants. Middle school students will cover budgeting, saving and financial goal setting.

High school courses will take those subjects into areas such as investing, credit, insurance, debt management and long-term financial planning. Invest America has selected Everfi as its primary provider for the initiative, giving educators access to age-appropriate financial education resources from elementary school through high school.

How Students Learn About 530A Trump Accounts

The initiative will pair financial education with information about 530A Trump Accounts, giving students and families a way to learn about the accounts while studying broader personal finance concepts. Established under federal law, the accounts give eligible children access to an investment account intended for long-term saving.

For children born between 2016 and 2024, the Dell charitable commitment will provide $250 per activated account for the first 25 million accounts. Children born in 2025 or later can receive the $1,000 Treasury contribution. Families can check whether their child qualifies through Invest America's dedicated online resource.

Everfi Brings Its Programs to Classrooms

Everfi says it reached more than 6.7 million student learners across 7,000 school districts during the 2025-26 school year. The company will bring those financial education programs to schools across Texas as part of its role as Invest America's primary provider for the initiative.

Matt Lira, executive director of Invest America, said the program will help families understand the financial opportunities available to them.

“Every child deserves the chance to build a strong financial future, and that starts with making sure families understand the opportunities available to them,” said Matt Lira, Executive Director, Invest America. “By bringing financial education into classrooms across Texas, we’re helping ensure that new opportunities to save and build wealth don't just exist on paper but actually reach the students and families who stand to benefit most.”

Understanding Savings

Ray Martinez, CEO of Everfi, said financial education can help families understand how to use the savings opportunities available to them.

“Invest America is leading the way by ensuring every student and family across Texas understands this opportunity and how to act on it,” said Ray Martinez, CEO, Everfi. “New financial opportunities only create lasting impact when families understand how to use them. By pairing those opportunities with financial education designed to build knowledge, confidence, and action, this initiative helps students and families turn access into long-term financial success. We're proud to help bring that vision to life statewide.”

The initiative will begin in the 2026-27 school year, giving Texas schools access to financial education resources and information about 530A Trump Accounts. Invest America works with businesses, philanthropists, financial institutions, and community leaders on long-term savings and investment opportunities for American families, while Everfi provides financial and life-skills education through digital and offline resources to students and communities.
